Once upon a time

Post by cyberwoozle »

Is there something wrong in hackerland? Can i really trust the information from the memberlist, e.g. when a member has joined or his/her best ranking?
I've tried to find all members who joined on and after may, 15th, 2007 and who's ranking is between 1 and 5, but whatever combination i enter, it is wrong ...

No, I don't believe you can trust the information in the memberlist information. Rankings were not implemented back on may 15th of 2007. I know for a fact that if you use the member information currently available on hacker.org, you'll never get the right answer.

Yeah, I tried every possible combination that fit and it didn't work.

So - is there any logical factor for the analysis of this challenge or is it only finding the right search items on google?

Google is always a help, if you find the right search words. But for this challenge you need a timemachine

Hm, actually the best known internet time machine doesn't seem to help with this challenge, I looked for alternatives but without success so far.

I had the same problem. Initially my time machine didn't seem to have the answer, later it did. Perhaps all of us asking for the information jogged its memory? ;)
