possible to hack winrar files??

I've heared that winrar files haven't been cracked b4 since they are using Advanced Encryption Standard?? Can someone help me out. thank u!!

I don't have much experience in encryption yet, but I was taught a little about Rijdael being that you need IV and Key or it basically impossible to get the information contained in a file.

For an example being

X = Y

or

5X+2= Y ~ (5X + 2 - 2) / 5 = (0-2)/5

If you have an equation of X being 0, but try to find the Y then you would get...
-0.4 for Y. Get it?

I don't know why Encryption Law was in effect in America since data can be transformed into anything... can be pictures, save files, musics, bookmarks, database, or whatever.

Yes, WinRAR uses 128 AES, which is considered impossible to crack. I've seen references to a paper claiming to have found weaknesses in the way WinRAR implements AES, but probably not bad enough to make it crackable.

OTOH, the average user has crap passwords, so a dictionary attack is always worth trying.
