In a nutshell: Download it for free, burn it to a dvd, install the operating system from the dvd.

Fedora: http://fedoraproject.org/

This is what I use and love.

So many people like Linux 'cause it's the greatest operating system on this planet!
It works well, it's absolutely free, theres a lot of different software that is absolutely free... It offers much more opportunities for all kinds of work than Windows... And all hackers use Linux, cause... Well, I got no idea how is it possible to use closed-source system in hacking purpose, and EVEN if IT IS possible to use windows for such a purpose, it's extremly difficult, and you'll loose here a lot of time trying to do somethin' in there.
If you are interested in getting linux, try Slackware Linux 12. It's the best choice!!!!

hacker is a life style. its one that alters how you think, you perception of reality, your way of dealing with things in general, as well as things so common as how you talk, how you carry yourself, and even when and how long you sleep.
