DirectX 10 on XP, problems.

I installed a russian beta-version of DX10 for WinXP, from some hacker-team (Don't ask where I found it. Can't even remember.).

But I got some incompatibility with old games.

Then I tried to uninstall DX10, which seemed to be impossible.
I've deleted d3d8.dll and d3d9.dll, and now it works like DX7.
Running the DX9-installer wont repair it.

How can I possibly fix this matter?
(format C:\ is something that I can figure out of myself. No need to mention that.)

hmm how about entering safe mode
after the login it will ask you if you want to do system restore or proceed at safe mode.
chose the system restore

then you have to choose the date tht you want to get everything back from(it's something like a backup....but be warned everything you have installed after the date that you will choose won't exist any more

Another problem is that I installed DX10 in feb or something.
A system restore would cause alot of problems, then.

It didn't bother me enough to take actions to get rid of DX10 before, now.
Which resulted in total failure.

Usually this'll work...

Open Command Prompt (Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt)

Type in without quotes, "sfc /scannow"

What this does it scan the System Files and verify if it is broken or stable and if it is broken then it'll remake that kind of file. And of course it work like a charm.

The specific error code is 0x000006ba [The RPC server is unavailable.

I don't really know what it means. The command did not correct my DirectX, though.

Also, I doubt that a check of the file system could repair DX.
DX isn't even a part of what MS call the "file system", right?

It fixed all of my past problems. I think you will have to bring this one up to Microsoft Tech Support. They are probably your last hope of fixing this one.

I got rid of DX10!
I ran the app. DX eradicator, which removed my DX.
Then I ran the DX rollback wizard with a XP-cd.

Still there's problems. DX10 is gone, and DX9c installed.
Anyhow, the \system32\dxdiagn.dll is missing. I tried to copy directly from win-cd, but it didn't work properly.

Anyone who know of a way to fix it, or why I can't copy dxdiagn.dll to get it work?

I tried to copy dxdiagn.dll from multiple sources.

Still, it can't load.
Missing entry point, and unable to find _common_handler4 are the most problematic matters now =/
