Latin Lesson

Post by MyNameIsAlreadyTaken »

Are we meant to guess the exact rules by which the additions are done? I've tried about 10 different versions and not one of them was correct.

I didn't decipher the whole message, the beginning and one special part was all needed - if you have cracked the code you might need your favourite search engine to get the answer.

@Adriano: Thanks a lot, now i know how to do the first step :) Lets see what the Numbers reveal.

Edit: Alright, done this thing :) After deciphering i knew what was meant and only had to search for the second word of the answer ;)

Damn, it was easier than I thought.. I interpreted the message a little too literally :)

I got it, but take a long time. Firstly, I handle the text and calculate the clue soon, but it costs me more than 30 minutes to search the answer. It's not easy, I never heard the composition.

Decrypted the message just fine, took me five minutes with a pen and paper. Stuck with what it's telling me to do.

I get the person involved being ****n and, from hints here, the name being G***** C******, but that appears to not be the right answer?

Am I being too literal like some of the people above or what... :?

Ok I think I know what is meant by G***** C****** and ****n. Should I submit the answer in plaintext or encode it using the method of this challenge? I tried both ways, with both possibilities, and it doesnt get accepted :(

For anyone venturing here who's stuck at the finish line: language can be ambiguous, be sure you understand the sentence.
