My Observation
Hacker.org is strangely unique in the context of the kind of challenges it offers and the mechanism by which they are offered(quite a novelty). what I most enjoy about the site are the puzzles. Are there any sites that offer similar puzzle challenges with the same mechanism they are offered there.

Order of 10 has some image puzzles (but nothing that requires analyzing the binary file instead of what you see - there are a few more than the 10 of my link).
wechall has some challenges and a list of other sites - hacker.org is still my favourite.
If you want to give the bot programming a try (as bot wars no longer work here): codingame
For programming/algorithms (they clearly tell you what to do, no riddles): projecteuler.net, codeforces.com, hackerrank.com

P.S:Though checked out way before now all the sites listed on wechal.net but non to be compared with hacker.org... most even looks like clones...offering the same kinds of challenge based on the same kind of mechanism(its very boring doing the same things over and over agian).....
