Hello, I was wondering, should I get Linux?
What are the advantages/disadvantages?
Does MSN still run?
Ect..

Well, I would say it depends on what you wanna do... If you wanna play games (that are made for ms windows) a lot then it will be a hard piece of work getting them working.
Everthing else can be done with a linux aswell but keep in mind that you will have to read a lot and things might not just work by clicking on them
If I should recommend a distribution I would say: Take Debian but if you're absolutely new to Linux Ubuntu might be a better choice.

Ah ok, I heard you can dual boot anyways, so when I want I can just switch back to Windows.

Oh god... they say that you spend a lot of time fixing problems with windows. I got Ubuntu Linux and it took like 15 hours of troubleshooting to get the screen resolution where I wanted it. The programming philosophy is very dated, tech support is nonexistent (and the community's answers to help questions are often cryptic or nonexistent).

I think that I was just using a bad version of linux. I have ran slackware with fewer problems. I think small is better when it comes to this operating system. You don't want something large since you could spend weeks trying to fix one thing (could be anywhere). If you want a hobby, I would rather suggest building a computer from scratch (actually making your own transistors), or learning assembler language and making some computer graphics with it.

That question pretty mcuh disqualifies you. There are dozens of IM taht support the MSN protocol.

Ubuntu is good and easy to use and has a pretty big community; so far it solved every problem i had.

Lol.. Well I am running Ubuntu right now, and I haven't had any problems at all.

aahhh, I'm a happy camper. I just got a slightly newer computer for christmas! ^-^

running XP on a 127GB partition and vista on a 337GB partition.
