Some time ago I got my laptop's harddrive fried in OpenSUSE. Now I'm completely paranoid about that... I'm using Slackware on that stuff...
And the problem is: it's parking every 7-10 seconds... Is it dangerous for hdd ?? And if it is, how to solve that problem ??
I don't actually want to buy new harddrive every month and make backups every day :?

Isn't this sort of thing purely a hardware problem?
