New hacker here as well. I'm doing my homework, though. Learning Linux and reading up on TCP/IP, programing, and all the good stuff.

If I'm saying there is no "new hackers", am I wrong then?
As much as I know "hacker" is an expresion for a extremely skilled computer system user.

Therefor I would say that no one that's new to the subject should call themselves "hacker".

I know HTML, and a bit of C++. I would never consider calling myself hacker.

Hacker is a status I hope to earn within next ten years.

Anyway, by your definition of hacker (even though I hate to abuse the word), I'm a "new hacker".

Took me 6 - 7 years to learn how to program/network/graphic designing/electronic.

So.... I already received a hacker status, because I do have some experience into spoof packets and other stuff that related to simple family hacking.

Also those stuff isn't enough... I'm still working my way toward to the 'bare' codes and packets and to manipulate every ways possible.
