C++ programming from the shell

so, is it already set up? Python is awesome how you just open up the command line and go, but i'm more into C++ since i've been taking it for almost a year now....
So how do i do that?

Get working Linux distro - i doubt that it is possible under Ubuntu...
So, C++ programming from the shell?? You can use any editor to wrote a program. I advise you to use vim. So, lets suppose you are working in a console. type "vim filename.c" - this will create filename.c and open vim so you'll be able to edit it. Edit the file (in VIM to start writing press I. To save press : and enter W. Confirm with Enter. To quit use :Q.). Save it. Now compile it: cc filename.c . This will generate aa.out file. You can run it with sh a.out
