Is there anybody out there who wants to talk about this unbeloved monster?

Why not, but I am not sure I could be any helpfull.
Most of challenges I have not solved are images. The only cons is it is classified as codding, not crypto!
So 1st observation: Seems the image does not change in time.

Well, the name of the image file is: floating_matrix.png
Therefore I think this challenge might be similar to the challenge 'Floating', in that we are to take the digits from the picture and to interpret them as (a) floating point number(s).
Or it might be something completely different.

Hmmm... the "Matrix" from the title tempts me to solve a system of linear equations.

Seems the same "digits" used to be used in "film matrix" inspired images. (hirizontal flip 2,5; vertical flip 3,6 ...). But these imaes used to have more vertical structure.
What about to interpret the image as one column and it's development?
Interesting that where r,u ends g begins. Seems r,u colors are rather constant per "digit kind" while g changes.

This challenge is actually much easier than the number of solvers suggests.
There is already a lot of good hints here, and note that there are 32 columns.
