File Mystery

This was really Hard since i googled "opening .bin files" an dthey suggested mounting it on a virtual device... took me ouurs!! 
Wow was I on the wrong track...
I opened the bin file in txt editor and started converting the hex to binary - spent a good few minutes on it until I read the forums and one guy said extract - two seconds later - done ...
