Conventional means are enough to solve this challenge? Or is there something additional hidden?

No, as far as i remember there are no additional things to look for.

hey cyberwoozzle! I think I could identify the last three spies, but the first two are very difficult. Did you use brute force for them?

(maybe 2 or 3 tries, but no real brute force)

This challenge was straight-forward from what I can remember. Nothing secret or hidden about it, just common sense. :)

Oki :-) then i exhagerated as i tried to bruteforce the first two entries and now i have two wait one hour between each try :-D

:D I didn't know the timing interval went all the way up to that! I'm afraid the only hints I can think of definitely count as "techniques" which probably spoil it too much... but every relevant letter appears in plaintext (not censored) somewhere in the letter, as I recall, which makes it much easier.
