I think I have an idea of how to decode the Barcode, unfortunately I get mostly gibberish when trying it that way. The first letter I got is a "c", am I on the right track? Maybe someone who had the "c" too could give me a little hint what I'm doing wrong?



Alright, nevermind. I got a hint via PM.

Look at the barcode and determine what kind of barcode it is... then and only then will you stand a chance of being able to decode it.

I didn't use a smartphone, nor would I say it is of any use in solving this challenge. Also, if I recall correctly, the answer didn't resemble a commonly used English word, so for non-native English speakers, beware and just try any potential possibility you get.

got it in literally 5 seconds, including writing the answer... <snip>
