Which wifi adaptors work for cracking a WEP key?
I think they need to support packet injection or something like that...
Well your adapter is only part of it. your OS and drivers need to support injection as well. Are you trying to use aircrack? If so the aircrack site has a list of hardware that is supported as well as driver patches if necessary. It's all about the chipset too. If you have a wifi adapter with an atheros chipset then you should be ok.

Last time I checked they didn't support injection in Windows but this may have changed. Just snoop around the site and you should find what info you need. Also if you have the money to spend you could get an AirPcap card here:
