need help

i am trying to get internet service for my laptop that i bought off someone and it wont let me do anything. i think that the person i had bought it from had stole it and the original owner had put a lock on it. cause it seemed to have belonged to a designer of some sorts. could someone please help me to get pass the blocks and coded locks.

Whats is the model of the laptop (including operating system)

and do you have a wireless card or usb adapter?

those are two important aspects we need to know

I'm pretty sure there is no "coded locks" for internet service.

anyway try to use wireless connection!
use proxy or Dns Resolver!
if u have Explorer try to Determine the connection problem through -> tools -> Diagnose connection problems!
