Hey all, I'm new to the site, but not a Noob. I have been working on a BBS for a friend's site that posts information and opinions about new happenings in the stock market. I just got it up and running last week, and this morning it's down... hard. My entire backup is toast, and my site has been overtaken and only displays a glyph that I recognized from the Blade movies.

There was nothing else, except a small email to my personal account that read:

You have violated the sanctity of technological anonymity. Until you make amends, your site is ours.

I've asked the other boards about this clan, but it seems everyone is kind of tight lipped. Any information or help would be appreciated.

Let me check your website... perhaps you can tell me where it is and I can probably help you with this.

I will NOT attack back these people who attacked your site, but I am willing to help you secure your website, computer or your anonymity.

Now, please tell me more about this and how do you think this may happen to you?
Any information is appreciated.

Please and thank you.

Yep, more info is needed. You're website URL for one so we can see exactly what has been done and perhaps copy and paste the email you received from this alleged hacker group.

It sounds like a crock to be honest. For one google shows no relevant results of this alleged group other than this post and a post on roothack.com/hack3r.com which has clearly been removed. The only part of her story which sounds remotely familiar is:

"You have violated the sanctity of technological anonymity. Until you make amends, your site is ours."

sounding like something the anti-scientology group anonymous might say....I'm curious what this person is really after. You'd think google would generate some results about this group. Im curious what this person really wants.
