I would assume due to the fractal-like image and the nature of the name, that it has something to do with recursive patterns...

Looking closer at the green pixels on the wings, i found a well known pattern. Still this did not help me further...

I didn't see any pattern on the wings myself, so I solved it without using green pixels.
