Legal?

Hi
Today a question jumped to my mind...
picture this scenario:
person A cracks/tries to crack into person B's computer.
person B cracks/tries to crack into person A's computer as revenge or w/e.
I know that person A breaks the law but does person B do it?
If you compare to ex. person A attacks person B and person B fights back, then its self defence.

Thats a good question...
My guess is that by the books it is illegal. Technically self defense would occur while the original attack is going on. (ie: if someone is trying to beat you up and you turn around and beat them up instead.) Your example would be more comparable to someone beating you up and then the next day you go and beat them up. You would be in trouble in this case, so I assume that a revenge attack would be illegal aswell.

.......unless it is to regain stolen info thats important (ie credit card infos)

in germany person B would also break the law, no matter what information A got (even portscans are considered an attack... 3 years jail...)

lmao. he thinks someone hacked him, but he has no fucking idea the trail of breadcrumbs he left. even his signature makes me laugh EVERY TIME IS SEE IT.

nope it says "unbefugt" which means as much as "not autorized", so penetration testing is legal...
