hell yeah. install it. try usin' it. if you have any questions/problems, ask me. If you're good in computing, you can start with a slackware. If you are just a usual user, u can use liveCD distros or install Mandriva, it's the easiest one.

believe me if you think to become hacker linux is the right choice

with windows you can learn for a certain time, but then you'll have to install linux, if you wanna hack.
