Hi *,
I think there are some quite new members with a mass of solved challenges in a few days. Could you please close the thread solved challenges or make it unavailabe to members who didn't change their passwords lately? Its kinda unfair to get hints using a stolen password ...

to be more specific:
I think this is mostly a "german" problem, due to the fact that on march, 5th the issue was published at heise - online:
http://www.heise.de/newsticker/Nutzerpa ... ung/134052
Seems some of the new people took the bait ...

Cheaters? I don't think so. If you have enough time, it's possible to solve more than 100 challenges in a few days, ask tails.
In October there was a similar "wave" of new members when c't mentioned the site.

Well, its possible, agreed. But now its possible to be fast without thinking using the forum and the net for some accounts and passwords, you have to admit. If the admins think this is hacker-like - I have to accept that. But that lowers my motivation to THINK about the challenges.

I wonder if it's a good idea to change the hacked passwords, and then forward all the users that are attempting to login with their old hacked passwords to an html page instructing them to check their emails for a new temporary password, they can then use this temporary password to login and pick a new permanent password. The point being that if someone hasn't been notified of the incident (because he's on vacation or whatever) his account would still remain secure.
