22. Got a late start, but I'm working on a bachelors in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Electrical Engineering... Taking classes in all the 3 majors and I can't freakin decide what to stick with. I'll figure something out I suppose... looking forward to my Operating Systems programming class anyway.

Learn as much as you can in all the areas. You can't be an expert is everything, but it pays to have a wide area of understanding. If you are able to, consider double majoring. If not think about what jobs each major will allow you to pursue and then go with the one that leads to your goals and what you want to do. I'm 21. In a hacker book a read that a guy who accomplished big things thought that is time to get a university grad, so he talked with some students. His overall opinion after that was that university is unnecessary, those who attend don't know shit. Well not true for me, when I went to university I only new Pascal (4 years of programming) and HTML (1 month of programming), but since then (I'm only halfway) I know more then 10 languages (bash, sql, xml, oop based languages) and their basic concepts. And I still have languages to learn: PHP (I know it just in a basic level), Assembly, VHDL and a few more, whereof I'll have courses in the near future. So guys, go to university, it's worth it.
