Mosher, I thing your post is a spoiler...

That's something for the Challenge Solved Forum!

I beg your pardon.

Is some Admin here to move or delete my post?

In python

  1. Being a solution you should put in the Challenges Solved forum, solutions shouldn't be in the Challenges forum
  2. You should use code tags to wrap your code so it keeps it's tabs & spaces in a nice monospace font
  3. It's not clear what you are asking with your question but I assume your loop prints they day every pass though the loop, the solution would be to put the print outside the loop so it just prints the answer

Mistake in challenge???

Have you checked that you're starting at day 0 instead of day 1? That sounds like it might be the problem, but it's hard to tell from a generic description of a problem.

I think the problem is you let the bacteria die a day too late. That could explain the difference of 3 bacteria.

Hey compudemon, there is a forum "Challenges Solved". Solutions are only to be posted there. Sure it is dumb that there is no forum moderator here who takes care of such things and who could move your post(s), but this is how this place is run.

EDIT: Heh, now I am the forum admin ;)

Though I applaud your work and your ability to find the correct answer, I have to warn you that you shouldn't post solutions in this thread. If you could please edit out your code, that'd be great.

I deleted two posts which contained blatant spoilers. Would rather I could move them to another existing topic (in another forum), but apparently to do this you need to install an extra script. How silly.

I think the page you get after solving a challenge points you to the Challenges form instead of the Challenges Solved one - I noticed this after solving Super Brainfuck the other day, there wasn't even a thread in the solved section for it which doesn't seem ideal. As much as I like the challenges and map progression, maybe a tincey wincey overhaul would be nice :p

I noticed this several times. I think it always happens when a Topic in here has exactly the same name as the challenge.
