Find Me

Post by AMindForeverVoyaging »

I wonder what the *real* proper decoding of the coordinates is supposed to be. I have tried some variations of North/South, since all of the coordinates are close to the equator and it's not really clear which point is supposed to be above, or below. Oh well.

Here's a screenshot of my .kml file in Google Earth:

And while we're talking about coordinates, 'What in the world?' is one tough bitch! :P

I was using the tool www.geoplaner.com since it seemed to have an easy to use interface, but now that I see your solution I should have used google earth because geoplaner and google maps don't actually show the actual answer on their maps  I had to refer to other maps to finally figure it out.

I finally got it with these coordinates:

Code: Select all

-002.30211 -91.310843
-005.02860 -91.123267
-001.44658 -90.424072
-003.80634 -90.225388
-005.01131 -89.282402
I believe that your coordinates are more correct, but these coordinates are just south of the islands so it was close enough to finally figure it out.
