VIndicated

Post by gunn4r »

I thought the VI was a clue to use vi (because of some special characters like $ in the cipher text). No avail.

Also looking for the easy stuff like "the answer is" failed me too.

VI is the roman numeral for 6. Maybe that has something to do with it.

Can anyone give me a clue on where to start?

@AMindForeverVoyaging: I think that's a bit too much of a clue - I didn't know what to do with this challenge, but when I read your post it was pretty obvious :s

Well... not sure how to change a single-word post to make it less spoilery? Hmmm.

The challenge is OS independent, although the tools to solve it are not always available by default.

I guess I'm having trouble with the ctrl-v part (i don't think that's a spoiler). Until there everything works fine but I doubt my clipboard has something to do with the answer. Any help on that?

Argh, I finally found a substitute for ctrl-v, but then it was obvious what it would give me, I could have looked it up in the beginning -_-

I think, I had a start to solve this, but the part beginning with "m2..." makes me dizzy.
Is the solution a word I can find in a dictionary ?

EDIT: I've got it. I should have used the source !!
