Iam wondering what it would take to flood a game server i would like some think you flood a UDP game server cause it to crash. how hard is there a program to do it or what do i need to know to build one i know a little in VB any help would be appreciated..

well in my experience of dosing i would recommend having some people help
get it's ip and get a ton of command prompts up and type
ping (the servers ip) -l 500 -t
you may want other options but those are what i use
anyway you need about 20 to crash a computer with help
like about 20 for 1 computer
and i assume because of how good servers are you probably need about 5-7 computers with a buffer size of 750 and 20-30 of those running
ps if you don't get reply try changing your buffer size down (the -l thing)
flooding chat rooms is what you want then i have one thing to say
get a macro and type about 70 a1 over and over and make it keep sending it
you may get banned or kicked or disabled

dos is sending ping requests in till the server crashes or laggs bad
flooding you can be kicked/banned/both
dos you can get money from but can also get you in trouble with police
overall effectiveness
flooding sucks dick in less no one can ban/kick/both
dos can get you in more trouble but more effective to crash something

like a few have said just use icmp packets (ping) to dos the system(s).
Another is SMURF and I have read some papers on DNS amplifcation attack which is a form of denial of service. The DNS amp attack can clog the hell out of network connections takes more work to setup as compared to UDP flood or SMURF
