I guessed the correct format but it's in a simple format. Hints from michuber and MatRush are enough to get it.

would help if Quine wasn't so hard to solve

I can access part of the challenge anyway, but maybe no point to pursue it if I don't know the full context?

I've been stuck on this one for years now  I've spent a long time trying to find some pattern that stands out, but found nothing useful so far. Also unsure why its not a stegano, although it feels like one.

Yes you're right, I think that Spiral Bits is harder than the other coding challenges that come after it...for those that I've seen so far. Also, in the solved thread there were a couple of people who said that they did Spiral Bits by hand  It's a Very Small World also blocks off a number of ...

I've finally completed this after over half a year of frustration with this challenge! Thanks to one member leading me down the right path, otherwise I might have still been stuck. It wasn't one of the better challenges IMO but the idea was ok. As I thought, I had identified all the songs correctly ...

Oh I forgot to mention tron's super useful map which I've been using to find the best routes to unlock the challenges that I want to attempt: http://tron.yamagi.org/zeug/map.svg

I found one thing that was wrong in fuzzy dust, but I haven't been able to get anything else out of it yet. I did find something else but that lead to a dead end.

Anyway, to actually answer my own original post I added some links to my first post for things I found from dangermouse's blog.

I was using the tool www.geoplaner.com since it seemed to have an easy to use interface, but now that I see your solution I should have used google earth because geoplaner and google maps don't actually show the actual answer on their maps  I had to refer to other maps to finally figure it out...

I finally solved this thanks to a couple of people and it seems that my original instincts were correct. The only thing that makes me rage was trying to fix the coordinates, I spent way too much time on that because I was fixated on one wrong idea.

Yes I didn't receive answers for those two. "Duke Box" is a strange one since people in the thread talk about randomly incrementing letters in the crypt text to solve it which sounds ridiculous. Just like how I don't know how you can solve "Find Me" without properly calculating t...

I've been coding for most challenges where I can, probably about 95% in Ruby and some in PHP & C. I'm just an average coder at best, but that's why I'm trying out sites like this to learn more :D The reason I made a generic post is because to be honest, there isn't much activity in challenge spe...

Resources to help with challenges?

Hi all, It feels like I'm finally reaching the limits of what I can currently achieve in the challenges, so I wanted to ask if you know any good resources to use in general for the crypto, hvm and misc sections. By resources I mean books, tools, online learning sites or whatever else might be useful...

Ok, this is driving me crazy. In CipherQuest A, I know what the text is, but there seems to be no way to type it in correctly. I've tried: 10 characters without any blanks 10 characters with blanks 10 characters with blanks but not counting the blanks as characters All with hyphen and no hyphen and...

Finding the songs was easy but I must be blind as a bat since I don't easily see which cipher is used  Well actually I have a feeling of which cipher might be used but I didn't get anything useful from it or related ciphers. A small nudge in the right direction would be great! :)
